Basil - Thai
Botanical name: Ocimum basilicum ‘Anise’
Thai Basil is an attractive and delicious variety of Basil with aromatic dark green leaves smelling of spicy aniseed. Pretty purple flowerheads develop in summer, followed by seed.
A fantastic herb for flavouring Thai dishes, such as curries and stir-fries. Best used when freshly picked to ensure maximum fragrance is retained.
Growing Thai Basil
Prefers regular watering.
Remove flower stems as they occur to encourage leaf growth.
Suitable for full to part sun.
Grows 75cm high.
