Botanical name: Cymbopogon citratus
Lemon Grass is a clump-forming perennial grass with lemon flavoured leaves. A popular ingredient in Asian cooking, especially Thai dishes.
The slightly fleshy bases of the older leaves add a tangy flavour to stir fries and curries. The younger leaves can be infused as a tea and they can also used to flavour milder dishes.
