Plant Chia in a sunny position in well-drained soil. Chia is a hardy plant which requires little watering. Provide a layer of mulch to supress weeds. Being quite versatile Chia can be harvested at different stages. The sprouts can be cut and used in salads , the leaves can be harvested for a relaxing and therapeutic tea or the seeds can be harvested and dried when most of the petals have fallen but before the heads have turned brown.
